David Tjokrorahardjo is a business leadership coach, speaker and author. Born and raised in Medan, Indonesia, David has always loved doing business. During his early teenage years, David helped his father, Soetekdjo Tjokrorahardjo, build a car workshop (Bengkel Cakra). Later on, he helped his mother, Lanny Riady, setup the first Mandarin cultural center in Medan (GMC).
After graduating from high school, he attended Stevens Institute of Technology and ended up living in the United States for twelve years. It was in New York where he met Julia Tan, his wife, and together they built and ran a thriving fashion jewelry business in New York (Heartbead New York).
Since 2010, David and his family have been living in Indonesia. His vision is to take part in the story of Indonesia's new trillion-dollar economy by raising a new generation of competent business leaders who are rich in their contributions.
